What is Fresh?
Fresh 92.7 is an Adelaide based youth and community radio station, committed to presenting the best in international and local music and emerging cultures.
Where can I hear it?

How long has Fresh been on air?
In 1997 3 mates returned from an interstate holiday with the idea of filling the niche of a youth and dance music based radio station in Adelaide.
Feeling that Adelaide’s commercial stations weren’t responding to young people’s desire to hear electronic music, these friends wanted to create a station where all facets of youth culture were celebrated and supported.

Cracking the Adelaide radio market was tough, but with the help of a team of young volunteers they managed to start transmitting in March 1998 on the 92.9 frequency that was shared with Radio Televisione Italia.

Though the station was only able to broadcast after 4pm, Fresh listeners appreciated there was a station finally playing what they wanted to hear, and their loyalty to the station was rewarded when the Australian Broadcasting Authority granted the station a permanent license in 2002.

With a new home in Adelaide’s East End, Fresh 92.7 are lucky to have its own state-of-the-art studio and offices, and a passionate and dedicate team of employees and volunteers who have worked together to make Fresh the most listened to community broadcaster in South Australia.

I'm a local DJ and would love to have my own show, how can I get on air?
Firstly you need to become a Volunteer at Fresh and then do some training. On-air vacancies are advertised internally, and all volunteers are encouraged to apply.

Cultural and Community Events/Campaigns

How do I arrange an interview?
Email admin@fresh927.com.au. Our promotions manager will process the request and contact you for further information. Due to a large number of approaches for interviews, it may not be possible to get all interviews to air. We look for interviews that will educate, empower and entertain our core listener group.
Do you do Community Service Announcements (CSAs)?
Please submit your CSA request to admin@fresh927.com.au. We will process your request and get back to you if we wish to air your CSA. Please note we have a very strict review process.

What is a Fresh Mate?
Fresh is a proudly South Australian, not-for-profit, community radio station. In order to stay on-air, we rely on donations from YOU, our awesome Fresh loving listeners. By donating to the Fresh Mate Program, you’re supporting everything we do. Without our ‘Mates’ there would be no Fresh. Every Fresh Mate donation helps keep Fresh on air.

Fresh offers businesses and organisations the opportunity to become a Fresh sponsor, and in return receive a block of allocated airtime to get your information across to our listeners.

Can I volunteer at Fresh?
Yes! Fresh is a station that relies on its volunteers to keep the station up and running, and we are always looking for those who live and breathe Fresh (like we do!).
