We’re always looking for new volunteers at Fresh 92.7! You’ll get real, hands-on experience and contribute directly to running Fresh 92.7. If you’re a student or looking to get a career in radio, media, events or any number of industries, Fresh 92.7 is a great place to develop your skills and take that first step.
To volunteer at Fresh 92.7, you’ll need to become a member. The first step is to come to an info session so we can meet you and you can learn more about us and where you can contribute. If you want to come to an info session, register your interest using the form at the bottom of the page!
Below, we’ve outlined a few areas where we need volunteers right now, as well as some testimonials from our current volunteers!
Members at Fresh 92.7 need to be at least 16 years of age. You will need to provide a police check before becoming a member.
Please note – we have slowed our intake of volunteers over Winter. Please feel free to register your interest below, and we will get in touch when our info sessions resume (expected to be August/September 2018).
We have heaps of volunteers who contribute to the station in heaps of ways. Right at the moment, we’re looking for volunteers in these areas:
INTEGRATION INTERNS: We want people to help run station initiatives, client-driven campaigns and events.
STREET TEAM: We want people to get out into the community with us. You’ll drive our street cars around Adelaide, help us at events and chat with our listeners face-to-face!
DIGITAL MEDIA: We want to expand the reach of our website and social media channels, and cover the things that really matter to the station.
SHOW PRODUCERS: We want people to help our station sound better. If you want to become an announcer, it’s the best training ground there is.
NEWS READERS: Keep the people of Adelaide up to date with what’s happening across the city.
WAVELENGTH CONTRIBUTORS: Put your journalism degree to actual use, and tell the stories of Adelaide that people should be talking about.
Volunteer Profile – Emily Angwin
Emily first began volunteering at Fresh 92.7 8 months ago, after responding to a station call out for new members to join the Digital Media Team. Initially, she was drawn to the station because of the youth orientated content and the fantastic platform provided to develop her written skills on a digital platform and supplement her media degree. In her time at Fresh 92.7, she has contributed significantly to online content via the website along with helping to develop social media strategies and implementation.
Volunteer Profile – Michael Farrer
A graduate from the Australian Radio School, Michael Farrer has been volunteering at Fresh 92.7 since late 2012. In that time he has become an essential member of the administration team, and has also made a name for himself on air and with his voiceover work for station promos. The best part of volunteering at Fresh 92.7 for him personally is the exciting and fun work environment and receiving the opportunity to hone his skills in broadcasting.
