We have heaps of volunteers who contribute to the station in heaps of ways. Right at the moment, we’re looking for volunteers in these areas:
STREET TEAM: We want people to get out into the community with us. You’ll drive our street cars around Adelaide, help us at events and chat with our listeners face-to-face!
DIGITAL MEDIA: We want to expand the reach of our website and social media channels, and cover the things that really matter to the station.
SHOW PRODUCERS: We want people to help our station sound better. There is no other place to get real show producing training!
NEWS READERS & WAVELENGTH CONTRIBUTORS: Put your journalism degree to actual use, and tell the stories of Adelaide that people should be talking about.
Volunteer Profile – Alicia Foster
Alicia started volunteering as a producer for the breakfast team back in 2020 and was struck by the family atmosphere of Fresh straight away. Her talent and experience as a producer here at Fresh has landed her opportunities in commercial radio with both volunteer and paid positions. Her talents are broad and her energy is amazing to have around the studios. Exactly the vibe that a good producer needs.
Volunteer Profile – Hamish Kearvell
Hamish started his journey at Fresh volunteering for the news service. His time spent on both breakfast and drive as news presenter held him in good stead to start on Fresh’s current affairs program Wavelength, to which he ended up hosting on air for 6 months. The on-air experience led to fill-in shifts for the workday and drive announcing and ultimately helped him land a full-time position at Power Fm in Murray Bridge. We are very proud of him.
