Think experimental, electrifying, electronic goodness. That’s what Unsound Festival is all about.

We all love our techno tunes over here at Fresh, but I guarantee that you have never experienced anything like this before.

Unsound Adelaide is the only event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. That’s right, too bad Melbourne and Sydney, for once Adelaide has something that you don’t!

The festival showcases artists from Australia and around the globe, exposing you to new sounds and performances that you would only ever dream of.

Australian experimental producer Ben Frost is amongst the artists gracing the stage. His latest album, The Centre Cannot Hold, uses a range of instruments as well as objects to create unique and unpredictable tunes. He accompanies his wild sounds with the use of extravagant visuals to produce an impeccable audio-visual show, offering a complete sensory experience that is too good to miss.

This year’s line-up also includes Adelaide’s very own DJ Emily Glass, UK techno genius’s Giant Swan, and an exclusive performance by US musician Eartheater who pushes boundaries and combines acoustic melodies from guitars and violins with harsh electronic beats. Rundle St nightclub, Sugar, will also be getting in on the party, opening their doors for some artists to perform at their venue during the Unsound period. They will host the likes of Malaysian-Chinese DJ Tzusing, Toronto producer Ciel and rising Sydney musician ptwiggs.

Get ready, cause it’s happening THIS WEEKEND over three electric nights between Friday and Sunday at the Queen’s Theatre and one spectacular visual event at the Adelaide Town Hall.
