For most comedians, they come onstage perform their act, tell their jokes and that’s the end. There’s something different about Tahir and his show You Had One Job. The overall vibe is that Tahir is just one of the rest of us, a funny guy having a conversation with mates. Yes he obviously has rehearsed jokes which are incredibly funny, however there’s a natural flow about his performance that makes it obvious that each one of his shows would be different depending on the reaction and shout outs from the crowd.

Tahir speaks about his experiences in TV show I’m a celebrity get me out of here, and how the public ask him stupid questions such as ‘Did you really go to the jungle?’ however his main focus is how people can get their jobs and other simple tasks so wrong. From 9 to 5 office workers to people on Centrelink, he plays with the idea of what if everyone were to walk into their daily job, making a big song and dance to music in the same way comedians walk on stage.

The only one negative I have to mention is that 60 minutes is just not enough! I could have sat and listened to his funny outlook on life for much longer. I left the show with sore cheeks from laughing as smiling so much, so if that’s anything to go by, I definitely recommend you make sure to see Tahir this Fringe Season!
