About Cam Wallace
Life Membership 2011
Cam joined Fresh FM 92.9 as it was originally known in March 1998 and has been a solid contributor to the station ever since.
Some of Cam’s greatest achievements were all firsts for the station, such as organising the first batch of bumper stickers with the tag line Adelaide’s Home Of Dance, organising our first visit to the Royal Adelaide Show and winning the coveted Bilby award “Best Coverage of a Sporting Event” with fellow Life Member Chris Velliaris for the station’s coverage of the 2008 Asian Champions League featuring Adelaide United.
Cam was also one half of the famous or infamous duo on Slappen Saturday, producing this show every Saturday (and sometimes on Sunday) for over ten years. Cam also bobbed up from time to time on the midnight shift, Freshly Squeezed, Kaboom and Top 92 countdown.
Cam’s passion and commitment to the station was also demonstrated by a six year term on the board, managing the promotional activities and recruiting new subscribers at venues around town, recruiting new members as the Membership Officer and training on-air staff when the station went 24/7 back in 2000.
Cam is still involved with the station today, producing weekly reviews of the A-League, attending regular meetings when required and providing guidance to fellow members.
