The House music scene can be a notoriously difficult clique to crack as a DJ. With such legendary names as Deep Dish, Jamie Jones and Roger Sanchez still rocking the World’s clubs it can be hard to get noticed in the hubbub. So when you do get noticed, you’ve got to have something really quite special. Enter Sonny Fodera, to say this guy has made an impact would be an understatement. Over the last few years he has held residencies in the best clubs across the World including stints in Ibiza, he’s dropped effortlessly brilliant tracks on major labels like Defected and received major recognition from industry stalwarts including Cajmere, Derrick Carter and Frankie Knuckles. Oh, and he’s from Adelaide. Yep the local boy’s done good, after graduating from the SAE Adelaide college he quickly put his new techniques to great use and launched his talent onto the global stage. To top it all off he’s just dropped an amazing Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1, he’s the first Aussie since Flume in 2015 to appear on the show and we reckon he’s the first ever from Adelaide. Truly a local star.
