Ever wondered what it would be like to experience the entire process of writing a film, then shooting and editing it together… in just TWO days? Well, that burning curiosity can come to an end as the 48 Hour Film Project, who are creating a filmmaking competition in October this year.

The 48 Hour Film Project gives an opportunity to put people’s filmmaking knowledge to the test as they have to fully complete a short film in very little time. From Friday night to Sunday night, you and your group will have to think and act quickly to work to a deadline.

Once is all said and done, the short film will be given the chance to be premiered at GU Filmhouse Adelaide in front of all the other groups brave enough to take on the challenge!

The big prize will allow winners to show their project among other films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2020 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. If that wasn’t awesome enough, the grand prize at Filmapalooza will be an opportunity to present their film at the Cannes Film Festival 2020 Short Film Corner.

So to summarise, making a film in 2 days can lead to not only going to France but showing off an award-winning film in one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. Something to add to the CV?

The 48 Hour Film Project will take place on Friday the 25th of October at 7 pm to Sunday the 27th of October at 7:30 pm.
