Our favourite sister festival of the iconic Splendour in the Grass festival is back in unbelievable fashion.
Hosted out at the Adelaide Showgrounds on July 19th, Spin Off will be headlined by the one and only Childish Gambino.
The last time he appeared in Adelaide was as part of the last Big Day Out line-up (lol throwback) and it’s safe to say he’s been a bit busy since then.
The actor, producer and artist took out four Grammy’s with last years’ tune This is America, and in recent years has explored all avenues of his creative abilities. Moving from rap in his epic album Camp to funk on 2016’s Awaken, My Love!, Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) has truly surprised his fans with an ever-wavering sound.
Rumours have it that he’s also releasing a new album sometime this year, so hopefully we get to groove to a whole new range of tunes live.
On top of this news, UK’s Catfish and the Bottlemen will be touching down in Adelaide to play a set as well. This comes after they announced there is a new album on the way, which will be in our ears on April 26th.
Yes, I know what you’re all thinking. Is little old Adelaide REALLY getting acts this big? Well, you better believe it (and you better get your funds sorted for tickets ASAP)!
Tickets will start going on sale 10am Tuesday, April 16 (that’s this coming Tuesday). Access the details to pre-sale tickets here.
