Wow, have we got some new tunes for you this week! What better way to spend these next few scorching days then to relax and serenade yourself with a whole lotta music goodness.
Axwell – Nobody Else
What an absolute banger! Well, as a member of supergroup Swedish House Mafia, do you expect anything less?? Axwell has done it again with his new tune Nobody Else. Kicking it old skool, the Swedish DJ heads back to his traditional house roots to produce this fast-paced, body infectious hit. And although summer is almost over, it is definitely a tune to bring back the feels of dancing with your mates amongst those hot summer nights.
Hilltop Hoods Feat. Illy And Ecca Vandal – Exit Sign
We are blessed with another killer song from Adelaide’s very own hip-hop duo Hilltop Hoods. With their smashing hits from last year, Leave Me Lonely and Clark Griswold, there is no surprise that they are continuing to produce tracks that leave us wanting more. Teaming up with Melbourne rappers Illy and Ecca Vandal, Exit Sign is a cracker song that incorporates some pop vibes, making it a great tune to blast in the car with the windows down. This comes from the Hood’s eight studio album, The Great Expanse, that literally dropped late last week. So, this is a tune that cannot get any fresher if it tried.
Jon Lemmon – Good Reasons
Ok, many of you may not know this New Zealand producer, but after this song makes its way through your ears, there will be no turning back! Originally born in L.A., the land of opportunities (yeah burp), Jon Lemmon moved to New Zealand at the age of 19 to start a band with his brother. Although things didn’t work out the way they planned, so he decided to try out a solo career, and lucky he did because it has led us to this beauty. Good Reasons is a mega electronic tune that will give you all the feels! Its chorus has a feel-good contagious beat that will make it irresistible not to have a good old dance to.
Martin Garrix Feat. Bonn – No Sleep
Martin Garrix is no stranger to making international hits and has collaborated with some pretty big names! Previous songs include Oceans ft. Khalid, Scared to Be Lonely ft. Dua Lipa and Burn Out with Justin Mylo. No matter what, this Dutch DJ always comes out with a new addictive banger, and his new one No Sleep isn’t any different! In their second collab together, after their 2018 track High on Life, Garrix and Swedish singer Bonn, have come together again to give us a rippa tune that we can dance to until the cows come home.
Slayyyter – Mine
This emerging 22-year-old singer from St. Louis, Missouri in the US is quickly making a name for herself in the world of electronic pop music. Between her experimental pop sound and her iconic 90s My-Space aesthetic, Slayyyter is one to watch out for in coming years. Yet, her new song Mine might be the tune she was waiting for to rise her to the top! It has got everything to make it a killer hit, from a boppy dance beat, to a Britney Spears style sound. Slayyyter has built her fan base from her uncensored sense of humour on Twitter, so go suss her page out here and chuck her a follow.
Tyron Hapi Feat, Jjay De Melo – It’s You
Last on our list for this week is a song that has a contagious mix of rap and pop beats, producing a catchy R&B tune that you will be listening to for a while, trust me! The track It’s You comes from Melbourne-bred DJ Tyron Hapi and singer/rapper Jjay De Melo. Unfortunately, Jjay De Melo drowned on the Mornington Peninsula on January 22nd just days before he was supposed to open for international rapper Tyga at his Melbourne show. So, go and have a listen and pay tribute to a young artist gone too soon.
