Welcome to DJ heaven. This week has seen a HUGE amount of production talent, and hopefully there is more to come.
Alius Feat. Sarah Saint James – Lose To You
Produced by Alius, ‘Lose to You’ is the ultimate pop song with a relatable and deep message. The killer vocals come from our very own Sarah Saint James from Adelaide. You may have heard Saint James’ voice elsewhere as she sang under the name Sarah Bodle on tracks with Tyron Hapi and Uberjak’d.
Kygo And Whitney Houston – Higher Love
I don’t know about you guys, but there’s nothing I love more than a throwback song rebirthed into something just as epic. With the deep vocals of Whitney Houston and the DJ skills of Norwegian Kygo, ‘Higher Love’ is certainly a winner. Whitney Houston’s original cover of ‘Higher Love’ only appeared as a bonus track on the Japanese version of her 1990 album ‘I’m Your Baby Tonight’, and this is the first posthumous tune we’ve heard since her death.
M-22 And Kiara Nelson – After Hours
British-German production duo M-22 have yes, you guessed it, released ANOTHER banger. This time round they have teamed up with Finnish singer Kiara Nelson for the absolute floor filler ‘After Hours’. Not only did M-22 meet on March 22nd (giving them their name) they also released their debut single on May 22nd, another M-22.
Yves V Feat. Afrojack And Icona Pop – We Got That Cool
‘We Got That Cool’ features a few big (and cool) music personalities. With Belgium based DJ Yves V, Dutch DJ Afrojack and Swedish electric-pop duo Icona Pop, this song is bound to be a BIG hit. The track samples the 1991 tune from Crystal Waters, ‘Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless)’, but of course has its own unique spin on it. You may remember Icona Pop from their collab with Peking Duk on ‘Let You Down’ in 2018 or Afrojack with ‘Take Over Control’ in 2010.
