This week at Fresh, we have an outrageously good mix of music to flood your ear-holes. We’ve got talent from across the globe and a few Aussie goodies, and of course, a couple summer anthems.

Bag Raiders Feat. The Kite String Tangle – Lightning

When I think of Bag Raiders I instantly think of the amazingly wonderful meme of their song Shooting Stars that went viral. It even managed to creep back up the charts 8 years after its initial release. My second thought is that they are a bloody talented duo. The electronic dream-team from Sydney have paired up with singer and producer from Brisbane, The Kite String Tangle for their new song ‘Lightning’. Boasting an uplifting and euphoric beat, the collaborative song is typical of Bag Raiders, but in the best way possible. It’s a feel good tune with dreamy vocals that will certainly gravitate you towards the D-Floor. Another important piece of info: you can catch this single LIVE at the RCC in March. Happy days!

David Guetta, Brooks and Loote – When You’re Gone

David Guetta’s first official released of 2019 is here, and it is GOLD. ‘Better When You’re Gone’ is the second collaboration between Dutch DJ, Brooks and French DJ, Guetta after the pair worked with Martin Garrix making ‘Like I Do’. Unlike any of the artists’ natural style, the track has a folk-like feel, but still keeps its classic EDM core with a few signature Guetta drops and synths. American electronic pop duo, Loote, provided some stellar pop vocal hooks, and voila! You’ve got yourself a hit.

Deekline – Be Happy

Next up on our list we have English DJ, Deekline. Back in the early 2000’s, Deekline used to own Flex FM, which was the biggest pirate radio station in London. Fast forward 20 years (my god, that sounds like a long time) and he’s still creating killer tunes. ‘Be Happy’ is no exception with its incorporation of a feel good beat and a good message for his audience. Kudos to you Deekline!

Running Touch – When I’m Around You

Melbourne producer and artist, Running Touch, has released a brand new tune, ‘When I’m Around You’. His place in the music business was set after collaborating with Hayden James for the uber-popular hit, ‘Better Together’. This track, on the other hand, is supposedly based on unfinished intimacies, as well as self-discovery. Compared to his other more mellow songs, Running Touch has created this tune to be club-appropriate, and he’s totally pulling it off. Oh, and he’s announced a new set of shows around Australia the same morning this track dropped. Unfortunately, he won’t be attending Adelaide. If you’re willing to travel, he’ll be saying g’day to Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

Snakehips Feat. Rivers Cuomo and Kyle – Gucci Rock N Rolla

For this ultimate feel-good hit, UK production duo Snakehips, front-man for indie group Weezer, Rivers Cuomo and American rapper KYLE have all teamed up for ‘Gucci Rock N Rolla’. Singing about never getting old, skipping class and always being a “baller”, the track is super light and fun. In a statement, the duo from Snakehips spoke of their admiration for Rivers Cuomo, saying they’re “huge Weezer fans” and also noted how it was “crazy that someone we respect so much was really into our vibe”. Sneaky Sound System – Can’t Help The Way That I Feel (Smokin’ Jack Hill Remix)

The iconic Sydney based EDM group, Sneaky Sound System, have dealt us a new remix of their track, ‘Can’t Help The Way That I Feel’. English DJ, Smokin’ Jack Hill, has unleashed an utterly delightful summer anthem, which brings groove, rhythm and stellar producing power. It’s a winner in my eyes!
