The Blue Mountains are home to the famous Jenolan Caves, 13% of the world’s eucalyptus trees, and a unique species of endangered water skink. They are also home to Hermitude – the wonky electronic duo who brought us Through the Roof earlier this year. But these boys aren’t one-trick ponies; they’ve been working together since 1994, and have produced sensational tracks as Hermitude since 2002. From their early days as Aussie Hip Hop legends, the duo have branched out into electronic music with great success. They’ve toured all over the world, picked up a swag of awards, and supported acts like Dizzee Rascal and DJ Krush along the way. To put it simply, they’re pretty good at what they do.
So, can you guess which Blue Mountains native will be smashing an epic set at HQ on June 18th this year? No, sorry, it isn’t the endangered water skink. It’s Hermitude – and we’re pretty excited about it. As part of their Dark Night Sweet Light tour, the duo will touch down in Adelaide for a one-night-only performance at HQ, with support from Basenji and Jayteehazard. If you’re in the market for a massive night of tight tunes, you need to click HERE to secure your tickets before they sell out.
And to whet your appetite, check out the stunning remix at the top of the article. It’s a tidy rework of Through the Roof from fellow Sydneysider Kilter. Well worth a listen.
