Have you been wanting to make a contribution to the people and the wildlife who have been affected by the devastating South Australia bushfires?
Fortunately, there are organisations across the state that is banding together to help raise donations by creating some fundraising events that will be providing the necessary funds and items.
Drop Off Point – Wildlife First Aid Supplies (Thursday the 9th of January)
The volunteers and rescue groups of Riverside Farm are gathering as many medical and food supplies as possible for the SA and interstate wildlife in need of assistance during the bushfires. The charity event is collecting wildlife medication, food, first aid items such as gauze, pads, eye patches, saline or chlorhexidine. Donations pet food/wildlife food & supplies are donations that are also in need, as well as towels, blankets, and pillowcases. Sth Aus Bushfires Fundraiser (Saturday the 11th of January)
The Lion Arts Factory has put together an all-ages event for this Saturday with all the proceeds made from the night going towards charities such as CFS Foundation and South Australian Veterinary Emergency Fund. The fundraiser will have a wide variety of musicians headlining the night, including The Hard Aches, Hightime, Teenage Joans, Stabbitha & The Knifey Wifeys. The Sth Aus Bushfires Fundraiser will be held at LAF on Saturday the 11th of January from 7 pm. Tickets are available here.
SA Bushfire Benefit (Sunday the 12th of January)
Some of the talented musicians of Adelaide are coming together for a Bushfire Benefit Concert. All proceeds will go towards the 2019 Adelaide Hills bushfires, with an amazing lineup including The Yearlings Band, Ollie English, Don Morrison, Kelly Menhennett, Courtney Robb & Snooks La Vie (ex Hiptones), Nikko Kipridis (Streamliners), Andra Cordell and Satisfaction – The Stones Show, who are all donating their time to this cause. The SA Bushfire Benefit concert will be held at The Gov from 2:30 pm this Sunday. Tickets are available here.
SA4SA 2020 Bushfire Appeal Gala Dinner (Friday the 31st of January)
Showcase South Australia and SA4SA Bushfire Appeal, have come together to bring a Bushfire Appeal Gala Dinner to help raise donations for those affected by the fires. The gala dinner will provide entertainment by local musicians, as well as both an auction and a raffle will take place on the night to further raise funds. The Bushfire Appeal Gala Dinner will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday the 31st of January from 7 pm.
