It’s that time of the week where we give you a look into some independent Fringe shows that you should give a little love to! And boy, do we have some beauties for you this week!

Show Name: Recuerdos

Venue: Nexus Arts

Dates: Friday 1st March 6pm, Saturday 2nd March 2pm, & Sunday 3rd March 6pm

Arriba, arriba! Get ready to be immersed into the world of Spanish dancing and become an expert in the flamenco!

Adelaide’s Studio Flamenco presents Recuerdos, a stellar performance from ten of Adelaide’s best Spanish dancers and four musicians, to bring to light one of Spain’s most iconic traditional dances.

Seeing the flamenco live is an experience that you do not want to miss and will make you feel as if you are at a flamenco tablao in the heart of Seville or Barcelona.

Although the dancers are all based in Adelaide, they have been trained by professionals in Spain, so you know you are in for a good one!

The show debuted at last year’s Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Festival and was nominated for Best Music and Best Ensemble, which they proudly won. Vamos!! Tickets are fastly selling out so go and get ’em!

Show Name: Magic McMagicface

Venue: La Boheme Cabinet Room

Dates: 22nd-24th Feb, and 1st-3rd March

Adelaide based magician, Magic McMagicface delivers a magic show with a twist!

Oh no, this isn’t your typical magic show that does typical card tricks and pulls rabbits out of hats. Rob Ellinger has created a show that combines magic with other things such as literature, poetry, music, maths and chemistry.

Some acts that you can expect are a reading of a poem accompanied by a display of silk magic, and a card trick performed with a musical number that will lead to the audience performing their own little piece of music.

The show may have a stupid title, but don’t be fooled because you are guaranteed to leave amazed.
