Here in little old Adelaide, we often miss out on various incredible artist’s Australian tours, festivals and all kinds of musical goodness. Stereosonic is back this year with a bang and being the only electronic dance music festival left for us to enjoy, we’ve put together a list of five vibrant and talented international and local acts that you just can’t miss. Sadly the festival is no longer two days but if you plan your day right you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the vibe that the event and musicians bring.

#5 Dancespace

The man behind our ‘Vitamins Radio’ specialty segment, Mr Dancespace has been leaving his mark on the Adelaide music scene for some time now. Having played countless festivals and holding a solid residency at an Adelaide nightclub he boasts of his avid and eccentric taste in music. Dancespace plays a variety of genres included but not limited to House, Bass and Tech. He also has a love for Drum and Bass, so who knows what he will have in store for this year’s Stereosonic?

#4 Señor Roar

What happens when two talented homegrown djs combine? You get the banging tunes that have resulted from the duo that is Señor Roar! These boys have had a huge year so far, locally headlining our biggest clubs every weekend, collaborations with the likes of Lil Jon, mixes of songs by the likes of Spenda C, Aluna George and Shift K3Y and the support of DJ Snake, Diplo, Dillon Francis, TJR and more. You’d be silly to miss this!

Mad love to our homie DJ SNAKE for giving our remix of Blonde’s ‘All Cried Out’ a run at HARD Summer Fest over the weekend. Also thanks to Dual Color for the heads up!

#3 Oliver Heldens

The Dutch deep house guru Oliver Heldens is back in Australia for Stereosonic this year and if you love ‘Gecko’, ‘Koala and ‘Shades Of Grey’ as much as we do, you’ll be sure to include him into your calendar. He’s quite the entertainer with his behind the decks dance moves, with a moonwalk that is second to only Michael Jackson. Don’t miss him grooving it up this December at Bonython Park.

#2 Tigerlily

This blue haired and pizza-loving mermaid DJ brings with her an electrifying stage presence and energy. Tigerlily finds herself among Australia’s elite performers with the public voting her in the top 5 DJs (via In The Mix) for the past two years and the number one female DJ three years running. Her new single ‘Paradise’ featuring Meghan Kabir has been played on both top radio stations and music television channels across the world and is still progressing through our vital 25 charts. The sky is the limit for Tigerlily!

#1 Major Lazer

The boys behind the heater ‘Lean On’ (feat. and DJ Snake), Watch Out For This’ and Original Don are playing a live set that will ultimately complete your life. Major Lazer don’t frequent the land down under so if you’re a fan of Diplo and his Snapchat stories, make sure you’re front and center at the Stereo stage on Saturday December 5th. With over a million Facebook likes, Major Lazer is guaranteed to pull a colossal crowd.
