Unbroken tells the real life story of US Olympian Louis Zamperini, who survived in a raft at sea for 42 days after his plane was downed in World War Two. After being captured by Japanese soldiers Zamperini then spent time in a Prisoner of War camp.

The story itself is truly inspiring but it just didn’t seem to translate well onto the screen. Jack O’Connell plays the leading role brilliantly and Miyavi as Mutsuhiro “The Bird” Watanabe – the cruel, Japanese corporal in charge of the P.O.W camp – is completely terrifying.

Like many films in the war genre, it’s an amazing story of bravery and optimism and one that will probably stick with you long after you see it!
