After a year of revamping, Prospect Rd is now one of Adelaide’s most popular shopping and dining precincts and is complete in time for their popular street party that is returning this Monday night!
Yes, that’s right, the Tourrific Prospect Street Party is making its way back to Prospect Road on Monday January 20 from 6pm-11pm for everyone to enjoy.
As part of the Santos Tour Down Under and with the promise of being an even bigger and better year than ever before, this epic extravaganza will transform 1.5km of Prospect Road into one BIG street party that represents their diverse and colourful community.
With loads of entertainment, music, food, drinks, market stalls and of course a bunch of entertainment for the kiddies, there’s no better way to spend a balmy summers night…and here’s what you can expect!
The Tourrific Street Party sure knows how to throw a party, with five stages on offer hosting 12 of Adelaide’s finest musicians.
There will be everything from jazz to acoustic music to electronic pop sounds featuring Adelaide band Alpha Street, as well as two all-night DJs, including DJ Ruby Chew and DJ Mark Kamleh.
Expect to be also entertained by the African drumming of Bortier Okoe, the feel-good, funk tunes of The Honey Badgers and be mesmerised by Zachary Luka and his blends of rock and blues. There will also be an Amy Winehouse Tribute in the Town Hall stage.
With the street party spanning for over a kilometre, there will be loads of entertainment on offer to keep everyone occupied.
Expect to see a range of performances from some of Prospect’s most talented and culturally diverse performing arts organisations including fire spinning from the Dragon Mill Fire Twirlers and an incredible performance from the Lion Dance Troupe. Embrace your inner Bollywood with Fusion Beats and experience the sounds of Brazil with SaSamba.
There will also be live wall art by Jack Fran, circus performers roaming around the streets and Gospel Choirs. And watch out for the two giant seagulls that will be rummaging around in your pockets and bags stealing any food that they can find!

Adjacent to Town Hall, Vine St is transforming into an Artisan market with 10 stalls full of quirky art, jewellery, homewares, accessories and much more. Cause who doesn’t love a good old market buy??
What’s a street party without food?? It simply doesn’t exist, and lucky for us, there will be over 80 vendors providing cuisines from all over the world, so we’ll definitely be spoilt for choice! Some include Thai from PunThai and a range of Spanish delights from Taste of Spain including paella, tapas, churros and sangria. To satisfy your sweet tooth, the famous Greek donuts from Lukoumades will be there to save the day and to quench your thirst enjoy the delicious range of craft beers from Brew Boys Brewery or indulge in a bubble tea from those at Bubble Bus Bubble Tea.

Being a family-friendly event, there will be plenty of entertainment and activities for the kids, including the age old classics like face painting, chalk drawing on the road, hopscotch and large wooden games and much more.
Sponsored by Black Friars Primary School, there will also be their iconic event, Loopy Kids, which gives children the chance to get on their bikes and have a mini Santos Tour Down Under of their own, whilst also learning safe bike riding skills. Submissions for the event have already closed, but you can enjoy the event from the sidelines and cheer the little tackers on!
