It’s the end of an era.
From its beginnings as one of the pioneers of Adelaide’s food truck scene, to its recent attempt to introduce Adelaide to its controversial Kangaroo burgers, Burger Theory looks set to close its Union Street doors soon.
Burger Theory confirmed the news this morning:
The announcement follows some speculation over the weekend that Burger Theory may have actually been closing over the weekend just gone (June 1st) – but they’re still open for now!
Final day of an #Adelaide institution. Thankyou @burgertheory for all the great food and fun times. Especially thankful for your leadership transforming the state’s food and hospitality industry. Will keep my eye out for the burger truck. Happy trails! @CityMagADL pic.twitter.com/tYXzeR122O

The business is set to be sold soon, so while we don’t have a firm date – don’t wait if you want to experience their burgers in their flagship store!
At this stage, Burger Theory’s food truck is still set to run, as is their Flinders University outlet.
You were all pretty divided when we spoke to Burger Theory about their decision to use Kangaroo meat in their burgers at the start of 2018. Have a listen to that story below:
