The man who had the world bopping to his ‘Harlem Shake’ last year has released a documentary which tracks his international quest for unique sounds.

Searching For Sound follows Baauer and friend Nick Hook’s travels from New York City to Middle Eastern deserts and Japanese temples, where they experience different cultures and find new inspirations.

Their recordings vary from tribal chants, drumming and the twanging of obscure instruments to the sounds of a camel grunting and the rumblings of an active volcano.

Some of the diverse collaboration of samples will feature on an upcoming Baauer album, which is currently without a release date.
