Just when you thought that the hardest decision was whether or not to use/ keep streaming services like Netflix, Stan, Amazon Prime or Foxtel, those choices will become even tougher in late 2019.

In anticipation for the D23 Expo next week, it was announced that brand new streaming service, Disney+, will be coming to Australia in mid-November this year. The service will provide almost every single film and TV show both old and new from the Disney library, including movies from this year like The Lion King, Aladdin, Captain Marvel and Toy Story 4. Disney+ is expected to cost customers $8.99 per month.

Not only is Disney+ providing 600 hours of animation/ live actions classics and content from Pixar, Marvel, Star WarsNational Geographic, there will also be brand new movies and TV shows exclusive to the streaming service. This includes series like Star Wars Mandalorian and Marvel Studios expansion shows like Loki, a What If? series and Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

There will also be an opportunity to binge Fox Studios properties like The Simpsons… but not every season like the US Disney+. Here’s hoping that will change for us at some point.

It should also be noted that all the Disney properties on Stan will be pulled off in September this year. So be sure to watch as much as possible on Stan if you decide to transition to Disney+ two months later.

Disney + is expected to stream on Android and Apple mobile devices like phones and tablets, or on various platforms that include Apple TVChromecast, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
