While most people will admit to hitting hibernation during the winter months, there’s finally something that will make you want to get out of bed! Umbrella Winter City Sounds offers Adelaideians “curated live music projects and other performances across the Adelaide CBD to warm and illuminate the colder weeks”.

With a wide variety of genres, Adelaide’s musicians, creatives, venue operators and music industry pros have come together to showcase local live music. Their website states it’s a “celebration of all forms of contemporary live music – from orchestras and choirs, folk, hip hop, metal, pop, acoustic, punk, electronic, hip hop, metal and everything in between. Expect new artists, original music, tribute acts and more.”

The festival is held from July 14-30th, with acts playing in various live music venues and other locations in the CBD and outskirts.

Anthony Dodd spoke to Music SA, Futuresounds Adelaide, Yewth Mag and Fresh 92.7 boss about the festival and the acts that will be taking part. Listen in full below!
