For some reason, there’s always been a stigma associated with what school a student attends, especially whether that school is public or private. There are lingering connotations about going to certain schools – the reputation of that school and what area it is located – which creates assumptions about the socio economic status of the students who attend there.

On Wavelength, Jovanna interviews a student teacher about the difference and similarities he saw on placement at both public and private school. She also goes straight to the source, interviewing students who attend both public and private, to uncover why the connotations exist.

Catch Wavelength every Monday night, 6-7pm, on Fresh 92.7.
