For the second to last Wavelength show of the year, we brought you stories on our very own team here at the station, an insight into preparing for fire season, adopting an animal over the Christmas period, and the appeal of river season over the summer period.
We started the Wavelength show at the beginning of 2015, with the year coming to a close we thought we would reflect on our past stories and successes, and provide you guys with an introduction to our incredible team.
If you’re interested in becoming a part of Wavelength, you’ll need to become a member – suss our Volunteer page for more info!
As we saw with the Sampson Flat Fires back in January and then the Pinery fires in November, bushfires are exceptionally dangerous and devastating for all involved. This week Jemma looked into how we can prepare for this year’s fire season.
With gift giving high on everyone’s priority list at the moment, we had a look into how you can give a gift that also saves a life this Christmas. Allannah spoke to the Animal Welfare League and the RSPCA, to find out why the holiday period is a good time to save a life by adopting a pet.
With summer well and truly here, many people decide to head down to the river to relax and take a break from city life during the holiday period. But what exactly is river season? This week Jovanna and Callum found out for us.
