Off his latest LP called Lantern, Hudson Mowake’s Indian Steps is possibly his most moving track to date. With the deep, engaging voice of Antony Hegarty on vocals, Indian Steps matches the imagery and style of the recent music video, directed by Daniel Sannwald.
Sannwald chose to recreate a classic sculpture called The Kiss by French sculptor Auguste Rodin for the video that features two elderly people intimately embracing one another.
Sanwald discussed his reasons for using such an emotive sculpture in with fashion and cluture mag I-D “It was very touching and moving to see two aging bodies in such an intimate way. I wanted to use them as a symbol of time but also to capture the beauty of such vulnerability”.
HudMo is on his way to Adelaide soon for St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival, which we’re super excited for. He’ll play the RBMA x Future Classic stage alongside SOPHIE, Shamir and GoldLink! Laneway hits Adelaide on Friday, February 5th at Hart’s Mill, Port Adelaide.
