This year is the 50^th anniversary of the James Bond franchise, the new Bond film called Skyfall will be released later this year and will see DANIEL CRAIG reprising his role as the British Spy. The big thing for Bond films is always the theme song, we’ve seen famous musicians like Sir Paul McCartney, Dame Shirley Bassey, Duran Duran, Tina Turner, Tom Jones and Madonna record Bond themes in the past and now… Adele has stepped into the Abbey Road studios! This will be her first new music since her last album ‘21’ last year…

AMANDA BYNES has been caught by police allegedly driving recklessly and abnormally over the weekend. This is one of many in a string of driving offences for BYNES, who’s still yet to be punished by the courts, though her car was impounded in LA on Sunday. LINDSAY LOHAN is said to be outraged at the lack of punishment that BYNES is receiving, LOHAN took to twitter to voice her opinion saying “why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishments so far?” But 26 year old BYNES is set to face court in a few weeks’ time for two charges of possible hit and run and then again for an alleged DUI incident…

WHO’S TELLING THE TRUTH!?

Time to give away a prize!! This week the team got on the air and gave a statement each and it was up to you to guess who was telling the truth.

Erin said she did about 6 shifts down at the show this year with Fresh and got a parking ticket for every single shift! Working out to about $250 all up!

JayBangers said that every year he buys a show bag for his son but this year he found an old show bag lying around the house, and decided to fill it up with chocolate from the supermarket! He gave that show bag to his son instead and saved himself some money.

Well, congratulations to Rebecca who knew straight away Jay was telling the truth! Yep, turns out he decided to be cheap and buy chocolate from the supermarket instead of the Show and just goes to show Erin isn’t as bad at parking as we thought!

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!?

Don’t worry zombies aren’t real and they won’t be overtaking the world anytime soon! But 1,000 US military personnel, police officials, medical experts and federal workers will begin training and learning about zombies. The term ‘Zombie Apocalypse’ is so viral in this day and age that the US government has started using it to grab the attention of the public. This special training is a bit tongue-in-cheek but using a zombie like scenario is a good training session for other possible worldwide pandemics – people will be crazy, violent and fearful – and the officials will have to learn how to handle that type of scenario.

THE LOVE GURU

Dear Jay, Erin and Jane,

I’ve met this guy who’s asked for my number but he hasn’t called, I’ve texted him in case he lost my number. Should I call him?

According to Jane the answer is “NO!” you shouldn’t call the guy, you should wait for him to call you. It’s important to let the man take control in the start of the relationship, especially when it comes to texting or calling and even asking you out! Men tend to be a bit more flexible in a relationship and tend to just go with the flow, so women always seem to find themselves getting to the 12 month mark and then asking why the man never wants to do anything or suggest dates or call them first. While the guy is left thinking “but I’m doing everything you want me to do!?”

To avoid this it’s important to let the guy take the first steps in the relationship and then that helps to build throughout the relationship. If you MUST text first, then only text once!! And if he doesn’t reply, then move on because it means he’s not interested.

Now Erin’s going to be away for a few weeks so JayBangers will be onair with someone else! Who will it be? Find out next week!

MISSING WOMEN JOINS SEARCH PARTY FOR HERSELF!

A woman went missing after her tour bus made a short pit stop near a volcanic canyon, the bus driver reported her missing and a search team was sent out to try and find her, the search was eventually called off on Sunday because the search team realised she was part of the search party! RUSSELL CROWE had to get some help from the U.S. Coast Guard over the weekend while on a kayaking trip of the coast of Long Island. The 48 year old actor and a friend got a little bit lost at sea after it started to get dark, they managed to beach their kayaks in Huntington Bay – about 10 miles away from where they first set off on the trip! The coast guard was patrolling the area and heard CROWE calling out, so they helped guide them back home…

PRINCE HARRY has stepped out in public for the first time after the whole Las Vegas scandal that happened a few weeks ago. Royal family insiders actually say that HARRY wanted to publicly apologize for the hijinks, but his dad PRINCE CHARLES talked him out of it. Of everyone in the family CHARLES is a lot more understanding of HARRY’S behaviour and the whole ‘boys will be boys’ thing. It looks like HARRY will be heading to Afghanistan soon though, on the advice from CHARLES…

USHER has finally been awarded custody of his two children after a very long and stressful battle with ex-wife TAMEKA RAYMOND. The 33 year old singer and his former wofe divorced in 2009, after two years of marriage. The court case did turn ugly with TAMEKA accusing USHER of allegedly using drugs in front of the children, and USHER claiming that TAMEKA was “inattentive” and “couldn’t emotionally bond with the children”. I’m sure this isnt the last we’ll hear about the court case…

JayBangers had to have a little whine about the Olympics this morning. He was complaining about the fact that Australia just can’t seem to win the gold medals this year. Erin jumped on the opposing side, and challenged Jay Bangers! She reckons that winning any medal in the Olympics is still amazing, no matter what you walk away with! Here’s what you had to say…

Apparently heartbroken ROBERT PATTINSON is allegedly out of his house and staying with Legally Blonde star REESE WITHERSPOON. Now that he and KRISTIN STEWART aren’t together anymore, there have been reports that PATTINSON is now living with WITHERSPOON, the two are just friends though after working together on a film, don’t know how true it is but one thing I do know is 36 year old REESE WITHERSPOON looks about ready to pop with her baby bump!

And for all you guys out there black and white photos of MIRANDER KERR naked have been leaked online! The shots are those artsy types and were put up on a French fashion photographer’s website on the weekend. They were quickly removed but that, of course, was after they made the rounds on the internet! The shots apparently were taken in 2009 before KERR married ORLANDO BLOOM and gave birth to their son FLYNN…

JUST GETTING A LITTLE… DIRTY

Jay Bangers found a little bit of a gross survey for you. I want you to think about eight different men you know… Picturing them in your mind? Are they hot? Well, prepare to be grossed out because according to a survey one of those eight men wear their underwear more than two or three times before washing it! This survey also found that guys from 18 to 29 years old wash their bed sheets around once a month, compared to once a week for women!

Jay Bangers admitted to washing his sheets every two months and sometimes free balling after wearing the same underwear too much! Here’s what you had to say on the matter…

That’s right, it’s time to vent! What’s grinding Erin’s gears today? Well, she hates it when she’s working as a check out chick and people don’t reply to her when she greets them. She says “Hi, how are you?’ and they reply is always ”I need to buy shopping bags” or sometimes people don’t answer at all! Erin hates it when people don’t have common courtesy!

And poor Jay Bangers… Well, he ran over his housemates cat on the weekend and then the other night when he was making himself a snadwhich for lunch he grabbed a can of tuna from the cupboard, only to find out at lunch time that he was actually eating cat food!!! Jay Bangers doesn’t understand why they can’t make tuna cans look different from cat food cans!

It’s the last day of the month and you know what that means?… Protect your arms because tomorrow will be pinching day!… You know… Pinch and a punch for the… Oh, forget it! I’ll just save the comedy for JayBangers! Here’s what you missed out on today:

MURRAY was sentenced to four years gaol after the court found him guilty of JACKSON’s overdose, but he still insists they’ve got the wrong man. In a new petition MURRAY is asking for more forensic testing to be done, claiming that evidence should reveal JACKSON injected himself with the fatal dose of Propofol…

And it looks like a young Tinseltown couple have called it quits! Reports have surfaced about Twilight stars KRISTIN STEWART and ROBERT PATTINSON breaking off their romance after photos of STEWART kissing her Snow White and the Huntsman director came out last week. Moving vans were spotted outside the couple’s home on Saturday, which is owned by PATTINSON, but it’s unclear which one of them has moved out… the home might become completely vacant? PATTINSON is said to be ‘heartbroken and angry’ but hasn’t actually made a proper public appearance…

Yes, Jay Bangers had a little whinge on air this morning about critters running around in his roof. For the past few weeks when Jay gets to bed he could hear a scratching noise coming from his roof, so he decided to discuss it on air today and get an idea of what you thought it could be…

Had the same problem with noisy critters at night. 1 box of  ‘ratsak’ in the ceiling killed the rat – no more noise. Rat traps don’t work.

I had the exact same problem when I lived in Hazelwood Park. Turned out to be fruit rats, won’t catch them with cheese. Try peanut butter or apple in a rat trap. Ryan

Well ladies, sorry to say this but it looks like hunky actor JOHNNY DEPP may be trying to win back his ex VANESSA PARADIS! The couple had been together for 14 years before they mutually separated last month, but they’ve been spending a bit of family time together with their two kids, to show them they can still be a strong family. It’s been said that DEPP apparently has given VANESSA an antique golden pendant, with the message written on it “My Heart is always with you.” So, maybe they’ll get back together?

But never fear girls because news has come out that hot couple MIRANDA KERR and ORLANDO BLOOM may have called it quits on their marriage! The pair were apparently spotted without their wedding rings, which sparked rumours of a split but KERR’S new rep has completely denied the claims. The couple have been dating since 2007 and got married in 2010…

Erin brought us all the latest goss from Hollywood! Here’s what was making news today…
SYLVESTER STALLONE’S son SAGE STALLONE was found dead in his Hollywood home on Friday, a lot of reports are suggesting he may have been dead for a few days and could have possibly died of a drug overdose. Apparently the 36 year old was a bit of a recluse and didn’t go out much. His lawyer has spoken out saying the actor wasn’t depressed and had his whole life ahead of him and was even planning on getting married. SYLVESTER STALLONE was in San Diego promoting his new Expendables 2 film when news broke and of course is grief stricken…

Also, some highlights from this year’s Comic Con in San Diego, which finished on Sunday and did not disappoint fans. Director PETER JACKSON was there and gave fans an exclusive look at scenes from his new film ‘The Hobbit’, which is set to be an epic! Apparently one fan was reduced to tears after watching a preview of the new Superman film, tears of joy at least! And series creator of True Blood ALAN BALL left fans in a frenzy when he announced three new romances for the show this season… And lovable ROBERT DOWNEY JR caused a little mayhem when he made a surprise appearance at a Kids Iron Man Costume Contest…

Well, Jane admitted it is a pretty saucy read in some parts but it also explores many ideas in relationships that we don’t always realise. For instance, the story follows a male character with a dark past, and the female character becomes that innocent, young girl who saves him! Check it out here!

Well, while MILEY CYRUS and LIAM HEMSWORTH got engaged another celebrity couple tied the knot over the weekend. MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY and CAMILA ALVES got married in Texas on Saturday, after getting engaged over the holidays last year! The pair has been dating for two years and have two children together…

And comedian TOMMY CHONG of ‘Cheech and Chong’ fame has revealed he’s been diagnosed with prostate cancer, and he’s also admitted he plans on treating it with hemp oil, since the 74 year old doesn’t smoke marijuana anymore…

CHARLIE SHEEN has had another outburst at a hockey game! He abused a poor, female security who wouldn’t let him back into the sporting arena after he’d stepped outside for a cigarette. There are smoking areas inside the stadium but of course SHEEN ignored those and went outside, he was quoted as saying “has common sense and courtesy gone from society?” along with a string of words which should not be repeated!

“Dear Erin, Jay and Jane,

I have recently met this amazing woman but she has a child. I want to fit in, what is the best way so the child can accept me? I know this is a huge step even for my new girlfriend. From Barry.”

Our Love Guru Jane says no matter what you need to accept that the child comes first all the time! It’s hard for the mother or even the father because they always just want what’s best for their child and then of course you need to accept the child may have some insecurities about the new relationship as well. When it does come time to meet the child, try and do it in an environment the child is used to, go bowling or go out to the park. This way the child feels happy and free in a place they’re used to and you become more like a friend to them – it’s a lot better than going out to a restaurant, where the child needs to behave and feel restricted!

And for the parent of the child, it’s always best to keep the two separate until you know for sure and can see them as a part of your family. You don’t want to go through different partners and create an almost ‘revolving-door’ like life for the child.

What Grinds My Gears!!!!!

Of course that time of morning where we get to vent our frustrations for the week! Erin hates it when people take too long to reply to text messages, especially those people who are texting back and forth steadily then just stop and don’t reply to you for the next few days! And JayBangers hates it when he watches those border security shows and sees people claiming they don’t have food in their luggage and then low and behold there’s mountains and mountains of food!

It was a big show today! All the regular segments like Erin-tainment news, Fresh Apprentice, The Love Guru and of course What Grinds My Gears! Erin and JayBangers were joined in the studio with Ragz, showing him the ropes and drooling over his UK accent! Here’s the low down on what happened…

ERIN – TAINMENT

Did JUSTIN BIEBER assault a photographer in LA? The 18 year old singer was allegedly involved in a fight with a paparazzo while with his girlfriend SELENA GOMEZ at a mall in California. Witnesses claim the photographer was blocking BIEBER’S car and may have instigated the whole incident. Officials are keen to speak with BIEBER after the man filed a report….

And poor LADY GAGA has had to announce the cancellation of her Indonesian tour after major security concerns. The concert was supposed to start in Jakarta on June 3^rd and had already sold more than 52,000 tickets, but police refused to issue a permit for the show. GAGA took to Twitter to apologise to all her fans…

APPRENTICE OF THE WEEK!
Ragz joined the team in the studio today to help giveaway a prize and have a bit of a chat with Erin and JayBangers!

WHO’S TELLING THE TRUTH?
To try and give away the CD prize Erin and JayBangers decided to rope in Ragz to help out with their truth segment! You know the game, to win a prize you just have to figure out who is telling the truth?
JayBangers said he got toilet paper the other day, on special, but when he got home he realised it was paper towel! Though he still used it…
Erin said when she got her hair cut and coloured the other week it didn’t turn out the way she wanted and she ended up crying at the hairdressers and got a refund.
Ragz said even though he lives halfway across the world his mum still calls him almost every day and asks him if he’s eating dinner!

Stupidly… Jay was telling the truth! The nuisance of plumbers everywhere! Congratulations to Amy who walked away with the CD prize!

LOVE DOCTOR!
Nadia emailed in saying…

“My friends tell me I am too picky when it comes to dating men. I don’t think I am, its good to have standards right?”

Jane says it’s good to have standards because it means you are aware of who is a good partner for you! But you need to be careful not to become a list dater, the girl who walks around with a list of requirements that need to be met. Having a small (very small!) list of some not negotiables is ok, Jane says 3 is a good number, find those 3 qualities you want in a partner (4 at the complete maximum!) If you have too many you may make yourself undateable!

For example, if a woman had a list of 5 things she wanted in a man, and those on the list were…

1. 6 foot or taller
2. Has to be fit
3. Has to be active
4. Believe in God
5. Want Children

That woman is now undateable because only 15% of men are 6 foot or taller, if you want someone who is fit and active, then you have to cut out 66% of the population. So in a room of 50 men you’re now down to 2 or 3 and what are the chances of those men believing in God and wanting children?

Make sure you think about what is negotiable and what is not negotiable! Keep your standards but get rid of the list!

WHAT GRINDS MY GEARS!!!
It’s that time of morning where we get onair and have a bit of a vent about what’s been annoying us during the week!
For Erin it is people at her Uni who use computer pools just to go on Facebook! She hates seeing it, especially when she has work she needs to do! Erin admitted to having a love for Facebook but she never uses it on the Uni computers…
JayBangers is hating the fact that people keep writing ‘Wash Me’ in the dirt on his car! (Well then maybe he should just wash it then…)
And Ragz can’t stand bank charges! Getting hit up 50 or 60 bucks at the end of the month for using the ATM!

Let’s kick off with Erin’s Erin-tainment News…

KATHERINE JACKSON, mother of late singer MICHAEL JACKSON has voiced concerns over the pop icon’s daughter PARIS MICHAEL JACKSON becoming an actress. KATHERINE says she’s happy her granddaughter has such an amazing talent for acting but she’s only 14, and she doesn’t think MICHAEL would have wanted her out in the world just yet. PARIS-MICHAEL is going to have her screen debut next year though in the film LUNDON’S BRIDGE AND THE THREE KEYS…

And the latest news to come out of Miami says that Aussie TV star MATTHEW NEWTON is apparently on the verge of suicide and claims have been made stating his family have refused to help him. A close friends says BERT and PATTI Newton refused to pay the $200 bail after his latest arrest. NEWTON who’s 35 years old is meant to appear in Miami court on four different charges, on July 25^th.

“Dear Erin and Jay, I have no trouble getting dates however I find that I don’t seem to get past the 8 – 12 week mark in a relationship. What do you think is going wrong?”

Well Jane’s advice was amazing! Of course that point in time is like the honey moon period and it’s normal for people to start to change their personality to fit in with the person they’re seeing, but you need to remember to stay true to yourself! Chatting with Jane Donovan, a listener emailed in saying…

“Dear Erin and Jay, I have been seeing this guy for weeks, he wants to have sex but I don’t really want to right now… I’m afraid he’ll break up with me. Anonymous”

Jane said this is a typical question all young girls in their late teens and early 20s always ask! She says it’s important to never have sex just to please; women always seem to feel this pressure to have sex, whereas Jay Bangers pointed out, men feel the pressure to perform!

Jane’s advice: speak the truth – if you don’t want to have sex straight away, say it! Saying something like “I’m really enjoying getting to know you, but I don’t think I’m ready to have sex just yet.” The boy will hear two things from this: the fact you said ‘yet’, indicates he still has a chance and also you mentioned enjoying the time together! Jane reckons this will seed out the boys from the men, he’ll either run off or stick around, and the earlier you have this conversation the better you’ll feel. It’s all about feeling good about you! Who’s Telling the Truth!?
Yes, it’s that time of the morning! Erin says “whenever I cook the traditional bacon and eggs for breakfast, I always cook scrambled eggs in the microwave because that’s the way my mum taught me… People find that weird!” and of course Jay Bangers said “The other night I got myself a couple steaks for me and my boy, and went home cooked them up and when we started eating we realised it was kangaroo! It was disgusting!!”

Congratulations to Greggy on guessing the right answer, its true Erin cooks scrambled eggs in the microwave!! Weirdo! No one is going to wife that girl!

Boo Yeah! What was your Boo Yeah moment this week?
Our Fresh Apprentice Nick found $60 on the streets of Noarlunga!
Erin beat another car to a car park! According to her it was a tough battle, but she won and did her victory dance in front of the other car!
Jay Bangers managed to find some money in his pants while doing the washing! AND he also ordered 2 pillows online but got 6 instead! 6 for the price of 2!
BOO YEAH!!!

What Grinds My Gears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The segment everyone loves! Time for a little venting on the airwaves! Erin is annoyed that all the listeners just assumed she couldn’t cook! But also self serve checkouts, she hates using them and misses the communication you can have with the check out people!
Our apprentice Nick hates slow walkers in the mall that get in his way and also old pies at the servo!
And poor Jay Bangers didn’t get a chance to tell us his! Erin cut him off to play a track but he manged to get in that Erin grinds his gears!

Jay kicked off the morning by complaining about always seeming to get the red light, no matter what time of day or night, every. single. time! Erin on the other hand is always guarenteed to get a car park at Uni but only if she’s running late, if she’s on time or ealy she never gets one!

Fresh Apprentice Marie joined Erin and JayBangers today and helped them out with a new segment ‘Who’s Telling the Truth?’ JayBangers kicked it off by saying that since starting his new diet, he’s developed chronic diarrhea from his new diet shakes! And then poor Erin declared she is deathly allergic to seafood! Who was telling the truth?
Well congratulations to Jarryd from Parahills who guess it right! JayBangers does have chronic diarrhea! Luckily Erin is NOT allergic to seafood! We’ll be seeing Jarryd at the Fresh Birthday Blowout!

What Grinds My Gears!?!?!
Erin, being her very unique self has admitted the thing that grinds her gears is when people dont refill the kettle after using it! Our Fresh apprentice Marie gets very anoyed with cyclists who can’t stay in the bike lane or wear high vis clothing! And JayBangers gets annoyed when he sees mothers out jogging at 5am with their babies in a pram in front of them! Weird…

The team were joined by The Love Doctor, Jane Donovan again for ‘Dr. Phil Me’. They got a listener email saying…
“Hi Jay and Erin, I went on a date over the weekend and it got a bit awkward at the end of the dinner when I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to help pay or if he was going to pay the whole bill.”
Jane gave some great advice, saying that you should always offer but don’t feel offended if the man wants to foot the whole bill and especially don’t be offended if he does accept your offer to help pay. Erin became a show off and told Jane that her boyfriend ALWAYS pays for everything! No matter what reason it is that they decide to go out, he always pays and Erin always tries to give him money and sometimes sneakily puts it in his wallet while he isn’t looking! Jane said in this scenario, maybe buying random gifts will help make up for Erin not always getting a chance to pay. TUESDAY 1st MAY

Pinch and a punch for the first day of the month… NO RETURNS! Happy May Freshies! We had the usual Erin-tainment news, What Grinds my Gears, Are You Smarter than a Fresh Grader? And the team were also joined by the Love Doctor, Jane Donovan…

Erin and JayBangers were joined in the studio with Ryan, for the ‘Fresh Apprentice’ segment, it was Ryan’s first time on-air and at least JayBangers wasn’t too mean to him! Ryan helped out with their competition ‘Are You Smarter than a Fresh Grader?’
JayBangers took on Jen and of course he lost! Congratulations to Jen who walked away with a double pass to the Fresh Birthday Blowout.

Love Doctor Jane Donovan joined the team over the phone today discussing a listener question. Phil from Noarlunga emailed in saying…

“Hi Erin and JayBangers, I never have trouble dating girls but I always seem to stuggle scoring a 3rd date. Why?”

Well Jane wanted to remind us that if you do struggle to score those extra dates, it usually means you come on too strong and need to give the other person time to breathe! And of course, always make sure to take the pressure away from yourself, it is just a date, which simply means you’ve met someone and thought they were pretty cool and you decided you wanted to see them again.

What a BIG morning! JayBangers and Erin were joined in the studio by new Freshie Stevan, for the ‘Fresh Apprentice’ segment, Stevan also stayed around to help the team out with their competition ‘Are You Smarter than a Fresh Grader?’

JayBangers versed Kelly and of course Kelly took out the title this week! She walked away with the mystery prize, while poor JayBangers needs to touch up on his general knowledge….

According to Jane, it is a no go zone, unless of course you can establish some boundaries so that you don’t both keep bringing the work home with you, and of course bosses, or even your bosses boss, are off limits!!

This week Erin is P***ed Off with hand holders who refuse to let go of each other as they walk down the street, making it impossible to walk past them!
Stevan (our Fresh apprentice) is hating the high price of petrol! It’s making it very hard for him to cruise around town cranking the tunes!
And JayBangers is getting peeved with the TV stations that falsely advertise the times of certain programs, making him miss the endings of some of his favourite shows!
