The Old Royal Adelaide Hospital will get an injection of life once again as it opens its doors to the second annual ROOT DOWN festival in the springtime, Saturday October 28. The festival will be headlined by SA’s very own electro-king Luke Million; he will be joined by some of Australia’s best in alternative music along with some fellow international acts.

The festival will showcase music genres like Alt-indie, roots, hip hop and experimental electro across a lively dual stage format. This is not just another music festival but a showcase of creativity, culture and local businesses. Along with the stellar line up of music, the festival will have Market stalls, Break-Dancing, Vinyl Distros, Exhibitions and Food Trucks will keep you busy. Local companies Hills Cider, Mismatch Brewing and Unico Zelo wine will be flowing through the new space, bringing a lively festive and exciting experience for all your senses.

With the recent closure of the old RAH, Root Down will be the first music-based festival to occupy the space, if ROOT DOWN is a success we may see the old RAH become an amazing creative space for future projects and festivals.

Early bird tickets are now up through moshtix and will cost you $35.00 inc bf. Otherwise the details of the festival are listed below.
