In case you missed it—Pendulum announced their first full live Australian tour in almost a decade last week. If you’re like me and didn’t get to go to their last Adelaide live show in 2010 and have been literally dreaming of this day for years, then this one is for you.
After teasing us with a DJ tour last year, which saw founding member Paul ‘El Hornet’ Harding play a hard-hitting and nostalgia-driven drum and bass set at the sold-out Thebby, Pendulum are officially back to celebrate the release of their new album The Reworks on June 29. Zane even had a chat to El Hornet last year for Fresh Air Open House before the gig!
Pendulum first burst into the scene in 2005 with their debut album Hold Your Colour, followed up with two more critically acclaimed albums, In Silico in 2008 and Watercolour in 2010. They went on hiatus in 2012 and break-up rumours had been circling ever since. They’ve produced some massive remixes such as The Prodigy’s Voodoo People and the ABC’s news intro (seriously), and have collaborated with the likes of DJ Fresh, Liam Howlett from The Prodigy, Steve Wilson from Porcupine Tree, and Swedish metal outfit In Flames.
Great news for underagers too – the Adelaide show is all ages! But get in quick! Tickets are on sale now and three of their shows have already sold out!
