So, the artist formally know as Chet Faker has just announced his latest track. Australian singer songwriter Nick Murphy, who in the guise of Chet Faker gave us outstanding singles including 1998 and Drop the Game (with Flume) is no slouch having topped the Aria Charts and Triple JJJ’s Hottest 100 among other accomplishments.
2016 saw a change for him as he put his Faker project on the shelf for now and re-launched himself under his real name. His latest track is called Stop Me, Stop You and has just launched on iTunes. The track builds on the rock solid foundation of his previous work with Indie style vocals rolling over the top of Electronica, synths and drum patterns. It’s the perfect fit for Nick, familiar but with a new energy and experimental soundscapes. Check it out below, it’s bound to have an impact and also give Drop the Game a listen (‘cos it’s quality).
