On the follow-up from his single Praise, Motez has brought us his second release for 2017. Not just any new track, it’s the title single of his upcoming tour: The Future. Oh, and he dropped the music video too.

The track is an exciting expansion into a new, ethereal sound for the Adelaide local; something he describes as, “totally different” from what he’s made in the past. Featuring vocals from Antony & Cleopatra, plus the Barossa Valley’s St. Jakobi Lutheran Primary School Choir, it’s generously melodic, enriched with detail, and masterfully produced.

The legend himself dropped into our brekkie show on release day for the tune’s first play and a chat about the magnitude and sincerity of the project (spoiler: break-ups are discussed, and The Hilltop Hoods are name-dropped). “This is me putting all my cards on the table,” he explains. Listen to the interview below!

As for the video, it’s an enthralling visual offering choreographed to the infectious rhythm of the track, artfully capturing its emotion. It was directed by Katzki, the artist behind the infamous RüFüS clip for Innerbloom. What a collab.

The Future Tour kicks off in September (coming to Adelaide on the 2nd) and is Motez’s biggest Australian headliner to date. With support from Sydney-sider Mickey Kojak and Adelaide’s Tigerilla, it’s gonna be an unbeatable opportunity to witness some unrivaled talent. Grab your tickets now!
