You’d be hard-pressed to find a woman who’s spent more time drinking cheap beer in the Garden of Unearthly Delights than our new Brekky host, Loz. With the Garden of Unearthly Delights opening on Thursday Feb 15th, there’s an overwhelming amount of comedy, theatre, cabaret and arts to choose from… so, we got Loz to use her outstanding qualifications to recommend a few shows you should definitely go and see!

Fun House

A pop-up, Technicolour world of circus-style fun, brought to you by an international cast of incredibly talented performers. Fun House comes from the creators of other sell out shows like BLANC de BLANC and LIMBO, so you know it’s going to be bloody good gear.

Also, apparently there’s a jumping castle so what else do you really need to know?

Blanc De Blanc

A sultry, vintage style cabaret, more glamourous than a diamond encrusted champagne glass. It’s back this year by popular demand, and is brought to you by the geniuses who organised Madonna’s recent Rebel Heart tour. Also there’s a lil’ nudity which may or may not sway your decision to attend.

So far, reviews include phrases like “Utterly magnificent” and “simply unforgettable” so you’re gonna wanna get your mitts on some ticks.

Too Many Zooz

A one night only performance from the phenomenally diverse busking trio Too Many Zooz. Their unique sound somehow manages to smash together jazz, Afro-Cuban rhythms, funk and even EDM structures and house music… basically, make sure you wear jiving-appropriate footwear.

Vids of the group busking in New York have gone super viral on YouTube and also they featured in a couple of tracks on Beyoncé’s album Lemonade. Also, Too Many Zooz might just be the best group name in the history of group names.

Their once-off performance is happening Friday the 16th of February, so book now or forever hold your peace.

Nath Valvo – Show Pony

I’ve never actually seen Nath Valvo’s comedy before but there’s something about a man with hooves that speaks to me. So, I have no idea if the show will be any good, but in truth it doesn’t really matter. He’s already cantered into my heart on those sturdy trotters.

Ivan Aristeguieta – Matador

From gags about Bunnings Sausage sizzles, to his acute observations about Bogan culture, for some reason Venezuelan born Ivan is better at Aussie humour than most Aussies. In his much anticipated Fringe show Matador, Ivan will delve into the trials of dating a vegetarian whilst simultaneously wanting to kill animals. And many other things that are funny.

I’ve seen him a few times, he’s always bloody hilarious.
