Beyond the Breaks

The show is all about nu-skool breaks, showcasing the genre and its many sub genres, everything from funky beats to baseline breaks and tear-out. Drum n bass, Trance, House and Electro also have a place on the show regularly. The show came to life when Marty B started doing the mix at 6, Marty B had been on as a guest on Dirty Harry’s show ‘The Breaks and really enjoyed it, he wanted to take that experience and add his own style so ‘Beyond the Breaks’ was born!

Beyond the Breaks features monthly guest Dj Batch, our DnB front man who comes in for a mix and a chat on the first Sunday of the month. Listeners interaction is also featured as much as possible with shout outs for them during the show because the show would be nothing if no one listened so YOU are a very important part of Sunday nights on Fresh.

The show has been running for around 2 years now and will continue every Sunday night from 10pm- Midnight on Fresh 92.7 – so check it out!
