Alright Freshies, we all know how amazing Fresh 92.7 is and now we’re being shown some extra love and recognition in the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia Community Radio Awards! The CBAA awards promote and recognise excellence in community broadcasting, so in our community radio world these awards are the best of the best!

We’re proud to see that we’ve been recognised for our shows and initiatives and we’re even more stoked to announce that we’ve been nominated in FOUR categories!

Our EDM Production Course has been nominated for Best Station Production. This course covers all the essentials of electronic dance music to help you create music and develop professional production techniques. It’s a starting point where we deliver all you need to know to help you get started in the industry or enhance your skills.

In partnership with Headspace Adelaide, our Trapped campaign to tear down ‘The Big Stigma’ has been nominated for Best Station Promotion or Fundraising Campaign. Ben and Liam put themselves in a situation where they felt alone, vulnerable, with no control and unable to escape to raise awareness and remind you all that you are never alone.

Our show Fresh Air which airs Monday nights from 8pm with Caroline Tucker, showcasing the best new music out of Adelaide was nominated for Excellence in Music Programming.

And finally for Outstanding Youth Contribution, our very own Zane Dean who began his Fresh 92.7 journey as a volunteer and now works as our Assistant Content Director. Zane is Fresh’s right hand man who runs Wavelength on Monday nights, oversees all of Fresh’s online and on-air presence and of course is our biggest fan.

To see the full list of 2017 categories and other talented CBAA finalists from across Australia, head to the CBAA website.

The winners will be announced on November 11, but don’t worry we’ll keep you posted!

These nominations show that all our hard work has paid off but we couldn’t be where we are without our listeners – it’s all thanks to you guys! And of course we need to thank our hardworking teams of volunteers who put in hours upon hours of incredible work behind the scenes. So as always, if you love Fresh 92.7 as much as we do and you’d like to get involved, come along to one of our volunteer sessions and we can guarantee you won’t regret it!
